Lynne Fugard will be taking over Wednesday lunchtime class 12-1pm from 9th September.

This is an uplifting lunchtime flow to ease into the body, stimulate the nervous system, deepen the breath, and focus the mind. Each week, we explore a joyful, creative sequence of movements that spiral through the body’s full range of motion with grace, ease, intention and curiosity.

Lynne enjoys practising and has completed extensive training in vinyasa, mandala, rocket, mindfulness meditation, and yin yoga, and brings aspects of all of these styles to her classes.

New Ashtanga and Yin Yoga from March 2020

February 26, 2020 Naomi Hayama
New morning Ashtanga Yoga class with David. He also teaches Yin Yoga class on Friday evening.

We’re really pleased to welcome David Lees to Bristol Yoga Centre from March 2020. David will be teaching two morning led Ashtanga Yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15 - 8:30am and Yin Yoga class on Friday evening from 5:30 - 6:30pm.

Ashtanga is a wonderful way to start the day. Waking up the body through sun salutations, we move through standing postures to rouse and energise the body and breath; seated postures which work ever-deeper into the body to awaken the spine; before a finishing sequence to calm and restore the body and mind. Great for health, focus, and setting yourself up for the day!

Yin Yoga is a practice of allowing or yielding. We move gently and mindfully into postures where we stay for quite some time (usually 3-5 minutes), using props to support our bodies so that we can stimulate our tissues (such as myofascia, bones, and tendons), release and free the body, and become more aware and accepting of our self.

He’s Ashtanga Yoga classes are available for free trial for new students for the first class and all of his classes are available on MoveGB. More information about David to follow very soon!

New Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher, Amanda at the Bristol Yoga Centre

A Vinyasa class with Amanda is a journey of self discovery. The class begins by turning inward to listen to the bodies innate wisdom. The sequence begins slowly with a gentle warming of the body to prepare for a deeper dynamic flow. Once the peak has been climbed she will guide you down to a nourishing set of restorative poses designed to release any deep seated tension you may be carrying. Sprinkled with humour and fun, Amanda brings her unique style to the art of yoga, encouraging you to follow your own pace and bodies needs.

Her new weekly Vinyasa Flow Yoga class is on every Wednesday from 19:30 - 20:30pm starting from 30th October 2019. This class is closed from 11th December until 22nd January and will restart from 5th February 2020.
