Jemitra New Yoga Teacher at Bristol Yoga Centre

Happy New Year!

Bristol Yoga Centre is re-opening from Wednesday 2nd January but please check our timetable carefully as some classes are starting later. We are really happy to announce that Jemitra and Shuna are joining us from 2019.

Jemitra is a senior yoga teacher who’s been practicing yoga for over 20 years and recently assisted in creating an excellent yoga teacher training course. She’s great at helping you to deepen your practice but can also accommodate beginners. Jemitra’s class is on every Wednesday at 7:30 - 8:45pm.

Shuna completed 200 hour yoga alliance accredited teacher training with Dylan Ayaloo in London and specialised in a strengthening vinyasa yoga. She has subsequently completed further CPD trainings in Forrest Yoga and Mindfulness based meditation techniques.  Shuna will be teaching on Wednesday at 7:45 - 8:45am and on Thursday at 4:45 - 5:45pm.

New Donation Based Community Classes

New community classes at the Bristol Yoga Centre for everyone

At Bristol Yoga Centre, we believe that classes should be accessible to everyone so we have introduced donation based community yoga classes to our timetable.  Suggested donation is £5 but you can pay what you can afford. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. 

Wednesday 10:00 -11:00am - Mindfulness Meditation & Yoga with Naomi

Thursday 19:30 - 20:45pm - Hatha Yoga with Amber

Saturdays 11:30 - 12:45pm - Krama Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Vicky

Everyone’s very welcome but we especially invite people on low or no-income, benefits, refugees and asylum seekers. Classes are suitable for all levels of students including beginners.

New Krama Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class

New Krama Vinyasa Flow Yoga class with Vicky at the Bristol Yoga Centre

We are starting a weekly Krama Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Vicky from Saturday 29th September at 11:30am - 12:45pm.

Kramic technique is also known as step-by step approach and suitable for all levels of students. In this class students will be encouraged to explore and gradually expand their edges in a integrated and fun manner working with asana, pranayama and relaxation techniques.  

This is a new donation based community class and you can pay what you can afford. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

New Slow Flow Yoga Class!

New slow flow yoga class with Leonora at the Bristol Yoga Centre

Bristol Yoga Centre is starting two new slow flow yoga classes in September with Leonora Zotti. Leonora has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and run successful 200 hour recognised teacher training courses. 

Slow Flow Yoga class explores conscious, sustainable movement to build strength and awareness. Unhurried breath to centre and ground. An open level class suitable for anyone that likes to move and has some knowledge of yoga, whether it be basic or advanced.

Leonora's teaching style is deeply influenced by the other mindful movement practices she has studied and focuses on embodied awareness and personal inquiry.

New Energising Morning Yoga Class!

Energising morning yoga class at the Bristol Yoga Centre

We are happy to announce a new energising morning yoga class on Thursdays from 7:30 - 8:30am with Katie Brigstock from 3rd May 2018!

Flow through an energising morning yoga practice to prepare the body for the day ahead! Fun, carefully designed sequences of postures and pranayama (breathing exercises) to awaken the body, and refresh from a night’s sleep. Improve your strength, flexibility and balance as well as calming and focusing the mind for a productive day ahead!

Drop in, term bookings and multiple class card available. Suitable for all levels of experience and your welcome to book through MoveGB.

Katie also teaches Yin yoga on Monday evenings at 19:30 - 20:30pm starting from 21st May 2018.

New Yoga Classes from the New Year!

New yoga classes starting at the Bristol Yoga Centre from the New Year 2018

We have new yoga teachers and classes starting from the New Year! 

  • Sundays Anusara Inspired Yoga with Arianna on 18:00 - 19:15pm from 14th January
  • Mondays Anusara Inspired Yoga with Arianna on 19:30 - 20:45pm from 15th January
  • Wednesdays Mindful Yin Yoga with Emilia on 4:45 - 5:45pm from 3rd January
  • Thursdays Mindful Yin Yoga with Emilia on 4:30 - 5:45pm from 4th January 

We also have monthly Kirtan session with Arianna starting in January 2018. Dates for Kirtan will be announced very soon! Please check our timetable for more information. 

Arianna will also be teaching yoga workshop on creativity and positive change on Sunday 27th January from 2:30 - 5pm.

New Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher

New vinyasa flow yoga teacher Helena at the Bristol Yoga Centre 

I'm really pleased to announce a new Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher, Helena Wakefield starting at the Bristol Yoga centre from Thursday 9th November 2017. 

Helena will be teaching a weekly Thursday morning class from 7:15 - 8:15am. Her classes are aimed to rejuvenate students, boosting emotional wellbeing by calming the mind and building body awareness.

New Yoga for Backs Class & Yoga for Healthy Backs Course

I'm really happy to announce our new therapeutic class, Yoga for Backs starting from Tuesday 12th September at 4:30 - 5:30pm at the Bristol Yoga Centre. This is a specialist class designed for back care and general wellbeing.

Sara-Jo will also be starting Yoga for Healthy Lover Backs course in November 2017. This is a comprehensive 12 week yoga course covering postural improvements, mental focus, and relaxation techniques that can be used to support your daily life.

New Energise Yoga Class with Sookhi

New Energise Yoga class with Sookhi from 7th September on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 8:45pm. 

Sookhi has practiced Yoga for more than 15 years, having spent 3 years in India studying the in-depths of Yoga and Spirituality. As well as completing a year long diploma on ‘The Education of Yoga" at the renowned school Kaivalydhama near Pune.

Her class is suitable for everyone, and combines all different postures for flexibility, building the inner fire, and strengthening the whole body. Her way is soft and gentle, always mixing breath work, meditation and asanas in all her classes... Leaving you nothing but ready to bounce in the playground of life!
