We've added more dates for Aimee's new and full moon restorative sessions the next one is this Saturday 6th April from 2-3:30pm. Cecilia is also going to be running a beginner's backbend class on Saturday 11th May from 11-12:30pm.
Kate has just scheduled new dates for her Yoga Basics course in September. Claire's lovely mum and baby yoga have successfully started and we are proud to be offering wide range of specialist classes.
Naomi's yoga retreat in Japan has now sold out but there are still spaces available in Chamonix in September. She will be away from 12th April to 10th May. Her Monday evening, Tuesday lunch time and Friday morning classes are covered by Travis and Hana. Her donation based mindfulness Meditation and community outdoor/indoor yoga class in Horfield will be closed during her time away.

This session with Aimee will include guided cleansing breath and gentle movement. There will be time for journaling and reflection. We will then slowly move through positions which will explore your range of movement whilst using as many bolsters and blankets as you would like for support, helping you to relax the nervous system and release tension.
These sessions are from 2-3:30pm and costs £18 full price or £12 concessions.

Yoga workshops are great way to spend a little longer focusing on interesting topics to deepen your knowledge and practice. Most of the workshops are suitable for beginners and more experienced students.

Sunday 9:30-10:30am Vinyasa Flow with Ella - starting 28th January
Beginners and more experienced students are all welcome. Most of the classes are available both in person and online. We’re also planning to offer a new monthly community yoga class on Monday evening and more information will follow soon.
New Postnatal Mum and Baby Yoga class
We’re happy to announce a new postnatal mother and baby yoga class with Claire starting Monday 15th January from 10:15-11:15am. Claire Robertson is a fully qualified Yogakidz and Prenatal yoga teacher.
This is a beautifully crafted postnatal session for both mother and baby. Safe and effective exercises are combined with nourishing relaxations, reassuring language to support early motherhood and multiple practise skills to enhance your natural ability to support your baby.
These Sessions are designed to relax you both deeply, whether you use the session for a much needed rest from your day or just to connect with other like minded mums.
At Bristol Yoga Centre we also offer specialist prenatal classes. Please book in advance.
New Ashtanga Class
Kate Lemon is taking over Christine’s Ashtanga yoga class on Thursday 6-7pm from 4th January 2024. She also teaches our weekly community flow yoga on Saturday 9:30-10:30am and runs Yoga Basics course regularly (next one scheduled on 6th and 20th January). Kate’s passionate about teaching the benefits of yoga to everyone.
We also have a morning Ashtanga class with Aimee every Tuesday from 7:30-8:30am.
Ashtanga Yoga is a vigorous form of Hatha Yoga that follows a set sequence of postures (asanas), joined together through the synchronisation of movement and breath (vinyasa). It is often referred to as a moving meditation, helping students to become stronger and more flexible, while simultaneously calming the mind.
Yoga Retreat 2024
We’re really excited to announce two exciting yoga retreat next year. Next spring, we’re doing a 7 night luxury yoga, hiking and spa holiday in Japan. This promise to be a once in a life time yoga retreat, spending one night in Tokyo and staying in two gorgeous Onsen, a traditional Japanese spa in a beautiful countryside.
We’re also returning to Chamonix for a 7 night retreat from 7-14 September for an amazing hiking, spa and yoga retreat in a new luxury chalet. You’ll also get a spa day and a complimentary full body massage. In both retreat the quality of the food will be outstanding, healthy and delicious :)

Menopause Awareness Month
October is the Menopause Awareness month. The IMS (International Menopause Society) along with the World Health Organisation (WHO) have been trying to raise more awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing for women.
We have organised a new Yoga for Perimenopause workshop with Naomi on Sunday 5th November from 11am -1pm.
Perimenopause is even less known or talked about and Naomi has recently written a blog post on her Perimenopause experience to shed more light on this natural journey. She believes it’s important for women to be able to share and support each other through these experiences.
Come and join us for a lovely relaxing session of yoga and meditation, especially designed for Perimenopause and Menopause. There will also be an opportunity to chat and share your experience in a safe and caring environment.
